Abstract
Introduction of Cibachrome printing in the United States marked a turning point in Alexandre Georges' career. The permanence and brilliance of color that the process affords piqued a heretofore nonexistent interest in color printing. Differing from most photographers using Cibachrome, he prints his own work, believing that the photographer as artist should be involved personally with every aspect that produces the end result. His subject matter centers on representative views of nature. Prints are made directly from a color transparency, in most cases 35 mm format taken with a Nikon camera.
