The method used to wash paper depends mainly on the type of paper to be washed. To obtain optimal results, i.e. an efficient cleaning without damage to the fibers, special cleaning solutions using appropriate tensides have been developed. The composition of the solution based on Lutensol AO 8 and its use are described, as is the subsequent process of neutralization and stabilization of the paper.
