Abstract
Silver coins from the Celtic period have been analyzed to determine the possible provenance of the lead ores from which the silver was extracted. Lead isotope data of the coins have been determined and compared with data from early mines in western Germany. Wiesloch is one of the deposits which could have provided the silver for the Celtic coins. -- AATA
