Abstract
A general handbook for the study of British prehistoric pottery, divided into four sections. Following a brief section on the historical development of pottery studies, there are two short sections on the technology of prehistoric pottery manufacture and the chronological development of pottery throughout prehistory and into Roman times. The main part of the book is an extensive glossary of pottery types, materials, and technology.
