Abstract
After a short history of the materials (waxes, polymethacrylate) formerly used in glass restoration, Davison discusses the properties of the clear, cold-setting synthetic casting resins whose introduction, she believes, first permitted glass restoration to begin to be undertaken with consistent success. In this outline of the information presented in her forthcoming book written with R. Newton, she discusses the general categories of restoration: partial restoration, gap-filling with molds, and gap-filling when the interior is inaccessible for working. See AATA 19-1723.
