Abstract
Paper concerning the problems associated with the matching commercial synthetic polymers to the appearance of the original fired glaze. The desired properties of a retouching medium are described and discussed. The resistance of the clear coating to yellowing and of the pigmented one to light fading are the most important. A review of currently used retouching media is given.
