Abstract
Investigation of ceramic textural properties included determining mechanical strength, firing temperatures, and porosity. During these studies it became apparent that the terra sigillata found at the Rheinzabem site and the molds from the same site are almost indistinguishable in chemical composition and porosity parameters. These similarities are to be expected because both groups were made from the same clay. See also AATA 20-771.
