Abstract
The distinction between precision and accuracy of chemical analysis is an important one. Different laboratories have used different standards, but within a given laboratory the ability to relate the concentrations of elements in one's samples reliably, in terms of ratios, to the assumed concentrations in the standard is important. Eleven laboratories'standards are investigated. See also AATA 20-771.
