Abstract
This paper presents theoretical calculations and experimental data used to determine the internal beta-dose-rates and the gamma-self dose in ceramics for thermoluminescence dating. The higher beta dose of solid samples as opposed to powdered ones is discussed. In addition, careful attention must be paid when applying the measured dose values to the solid samples. -- AATA
