Abstract
Insect pests cause irreversible damage to natural history, ethnographic, textile and general collections in museums. This book identifies the problems and gives practical advice on the detection, prevention and control of insect pests in museum stores. The major pest species are illustrated and described together with strategies for prevention and control of damage by integrated use of physical and chemical methods. Coverage of the benefits and limitations of insecticides is intended to encourage their safe and effective use in museums.
