Abstract
Much of the land in British industry is used for agriculture and horticulture. Many high investments were made into this industry. Corrosion costs are extensive of which about one third could be saved by better application of existing knowledge. One can deduce a poor awareness of corrosion hazards and what can be done to prevent or avoid them. As they state abetter appreciation of corrosion and what can be done to prevent it is clearly worthwhile.
