Abstract
The reasons behind the yellowing of white fabrics and garments in polyethylene bags are presented and discussed. The presence of BHT, nitrogen dioxide, moisture, and alkaline finishes are identified as causes of yellowing. Suggestions to eliminate the problem are also included. -- AATA
