Abstract
The following adhesives were considered: four types of methylhydroxyethylcellulose (Tylose MH), two of pure methyl cellulose, and a commercial product (Glutolin Kleister). All the adhesives have a good reversibility and do not appreciably modify the degree of polymerization of cellulose. Tylose MH50 and MH200XP are not recommended because they have a lower grade of white than the others and because they yellow markedly in time in the powder state. The highly pure substituted methyl celluloses gave the best results.
