Abstract
A permeable plaster article, such as a gypsum cement or plaster of Paris mold, can be treated to prevent corrosion of surfaces or pores exposed to water by saturating the water with calcium sulfate in the presence of carbon dioxide before the water comes in contact with the permeable plaster article.
