Discusses disadvantages of the available commercial methods of color print production. Recommends the use of a negative-positive process in the metallographic laboratory darkroom. Thus, color balance variations due to the microscope light source, the enlarger lenses and lamp, the batch of paper, and the negative material are under the control of the print-maker through proper choice of enlarger filters.
