Abstract
Of the chemicals and mixtures studied, the ones that showed the most promise for use in the chemical seasoning of wood, both from the standpoint of relative humidity and anti-shrink and at the same time lacking undesirable properties, were urea, invert sugar, and a mixture of invert sugar and urea.
