Abstract

In 1989, the Science Museum in London commissioned the Leather Conservation Centre to investigate materials and techniques applicable to the treatment of leather components in their large collection of carriages and motorized vehicles. Adhesives, backing support materials, and polymer fills are evaluated in this report.
