The symposium, organized in 1986 under the auspices of the Council of Europe by the Icomos International Committee for Architectural Photogrammetry, takes as its subtitle Survey, Analysis, Development, Protection. Architects, town planners, managers, and developers express their requirements in spatially-referenced data and in representation. It then explains the techniques, methods, and fields of application and photogrammetry used on old urban centers: aerial photography -- vertical and oblique -- photogrammetric urban plans, volumetric analysis of centers and urban landscapes. The photogrammetric operations illustrated in the 48 plates found at the end of this publication are grouped by country. -- AATA
