Abstract
At the moment there is no technical solution to the problem of deterioration in buildings constructed of materials particularly susceptible to climatic damage (notably adobe). The author thinks that a preliminary in situ study of the physical properties of construction materials and natural or artificial factors in deterioration is essential before developing a plan for the conservation of a building. -- AATA
