Abstract
The patina from a copper structure in mid-Wales contained 20.75% basic copper chloride, as compared with 8.15% in the patina from a copper spire at Dundalk, on the east coast of Ireland; this result is attributed to the influence of prevailing winds. Basic copper sulphate constituted the bulk of the deposit in each case, the relationship of the formula with period of exposure confirming the conclusions of previous work.
