Abstract
By chlorinating native fats or animal and vegetable fatty acid esters, especially those of semi-solid consistency, at room teperature, liquid waterinsoluble chlorination products are obtained which are fast to light and can be used in leather manufacture. They do not cause fatty spew, and inhibit or prevent its formation when combined with other fat liquors tending to cause such spew.
