This study of the 13th century stained glass which survived the demolition of the Abbey of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, Paris, includes technical information about the system of framing and leading employed at that period as well as a discussion of the manipulation of color in the design. Before and after photographs and diagrams show how the St. Vincent window from the Refectory (now in the Walters Art Gallery, Baltimore) was reconstituted to form a coherent design.
