Abstract
A review of 96 publications about: atmospheric concentrations of H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub> in N. America, Europe, Brazil, and Japan, most of them below 10 ppbv; its formation from volatile organic compounds and CO in presence of lesser (NO<sub>x</sub>) plus intense solar radiation, elevated atmospheric T and RH. On a mountain, (H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub>) corrected positively with (O3), T, dew-point, not with solar radiation, suggesting influence of long-range transport of polutted urban air masses. In Los Angeles, (H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub> gas) correlates positively with solar intensity decomposition and deposition of H<sub>2</sub>O<sub>2</sub> investigated by modelling and field studies.
