This description of the exploitation of copper minerals is presented in two parts. The first deals with archaeometallurgical analyses of samples from the copper assemblage at Selevac, and the second is a description of the total copper assemblage and the significance of its stratigraphic and architectural context for our knowledge of early metallurgy in southeast Europe.
