Abstract
Studies a series of historic and artistic monuments located in small towns around Morella, Castellón, Spain, near a large thermal power plant and presumably within range of acid rain pollution from that source. Analyses carried out included microanalytical work intended to characterize lichen species and other plants; chemical analysis of soluble salts on stone surfaces, from samples taken from the monuments as well as the original quarries whenever possible; reflectography; scanning electron microscopy; and energy dispersive x-ray analysis. -- AATA
