Abstract
The accelerated fading of a dye, owing to the presence of another dye or an impurity, is termed catalytic fading. The enormity of the subject is suggested by the number of permutations that can be achieved using compound dyes, and is further enlarged when fiber types are considered. A review of several studies conducted on catalytic fading is presented. -- AATA
