The importance of study build of cultural heritage protection has been widely recognized, but not mature or deeply. The academic course of cultural heritage protection and continuation education of professional scientific workers need social recognization, which proves the impendence of enhancing this area of study. The definition, meaning, characteristics, research method, and state of technology of the area need further research and discussion, that can promote the area of study. Suggestions of optimizing methods and administration of the subject are put forward.
