Abstract
The is the third installment in a series of annotated bibliographies dealing with linseed oil and related material. It covers the period 1961-1972 which, as the bibliography's compilers point out in their introductory comments, saw publication of several reviews of the general subject of oxidative polymerization and film formation as specific examples of the more general phenomena of autoxidation and polymerization. Some of the chemical reactions involved in the drying of oil are presented in the introductory section. Driers are metal compounds added to drying oils to accelerate drying. The effects of metal driers were an important field of investigation during the 1961-1972 period for those intereste in the properties and characterization of pigment-drying oil films. As in the first two installments of this bibliography, an author index follows the references.
