This is the second part of a bibliography of work on linseed oil and oil based painting. As the compilers point out in the two-page introductory comments, the period 1941-1960 was when modern instrumental methods were first applied to the study of natural products. Ultraviolet and infrared spectroscopy are featured in a number of studies. Major areas of research included autoxidation and polymerization phenomena, the effects of driers, and the modification of linseed oils. In general, it is evident that research shifted from linseed oil and its properties to methods of modifying this material and the properties of the resultant products. References are presented chronologically, as in part 1, and an author index follows the listing of abstracts.
