Abstract
Molas are traditional apparel of the Cuna women, members of an Indian tribe living off the coast of Panama. They have maintained their racial and cultural heritage despite the Spanish conquest of South America. The origin, designs, and the making of a mola are described in detail. Finished designs are illustrated. (See also AATA 16-1418) -- AATA
