Several methods of removing stains from carpets are described: spraying a solvent or dry foam onto the carpet and dabbing to remove the stain; washing with subsequent vacuum extraction of water; and spray extraction which involves the use of a device similar to the vacuum water extractor, where water is sprayed onto the stain from jets in the head and removed by means of suction nozzles in one operation. -- AATA
