Abstract
The wall structure of this 13th century Cistercian church was investigated. It was found that the outer part of the walls is built of sandstones and bricks and that the inner filler consists of limestone pieces, sandstones and rubble brick bound with lime mortar. The sandstone facing shows a weak structure caused by a leached binder. The substitution of decayed stone by local material is suggested, and the origin of cracks in structure discussed. See also AATA 19-1790.
