Abstract
Dolomite has been found to be a common minor substitute for exterior and crack surfaces of Anatolian limestones. Formation in decay zones may be due to biological action or to the presence of clay. Research has been carried out using x-ray diffraction analysis and a scanning electron microscope with EDAX energy dispersive analyzer. See also AATA 16-789 and 19-1790.
