In the canadian climate it is possible to freeze dry waterlogged wood in a roof-top shelter in winter. Soaking in polyethylene glycol 15 percent three months, wrapping in polyethylene sheet, freezing with carbon dioxide and exposing 66 days. -- ICCROM
