This paper deals with computer based methods for selecting from large amounts of neutron activation analysis data those samples which according to their analytical fingerprint originate from the same location. A program for searching for samples with a direct consensus in the composition, and a procedure for allocating additional samples, whose composition is similar only after application of a dilution-factor, are presented and discussed.
