Abstract
The concluding paper in the Society for American Archaeology's 1979 symposium on the curation of archaeological collections comments on the problems raised. In regard to conservation it calls for clearer understanding on the part of archaeologists and curators of environmental hazards to collections and of appropriate control measures.
