Abstract
An 18th century Tibetan Dakini statue was examined by x-radiography and UV emission spectroscopy. The statue is made of 34 pieces; hammered copper was used for the larger limbs and cast brass for the hands, ears and bracelets. Significant amounts of mercury on the surface suggest that mercury gilding was applied. See also AATA 19-155.
