Abstract
Fragments of minerals and mineralized materials from two areas of the site were analyzed, and characterized as ores, some partly smelted or slagged, or once-heated materials containing tin or arsenic. The last classification provides evidence for the production of tin-bronzes and arsenical copper on the site, which is reasonable for that period. Raw materials were imported, and poor pieces were discarded; but the analyses are too few to allow the provenance to be determined. The results show that smelting and alloying were carried out in small population centers as well as large ones. -- AATA
