Abstract
The success of structural consolidation of porous materials is conditioned by deep penetration of consolidant into the pores. It is necessary to bind a corroded layer to an unimpaired core. The solution of the dynamic equation for a penetrating liquid makes it possible to determine both qualitative and quantitative basic requirements on physical characteristics of the consolidant.
