Abstract
Some possibilities of applying polymer composition materials in restoration of stone sculpture are considered. Polyvinyl butural in combination with polymethyl acrylate, polymethyl phenylsiloxane resins are recommended as the gluing basis. Some examples are given of the components made on this polymer basis and used in restoration of stone sculpture. The advantages of such a composite are the absence of toxicity and simplicity of preparation, grinding, and polishing. When necessary, the restoration material is easily removed with ethyl alcohol.
