Problems encountered due to the weathering of sandstone of Zwickau cathedral and the problems this causes for conservation are discussed as well as efforts to restore building façades from the Art Nouveau and Founders' periods. This is followed by an evaluation of the work group's activities since 1984. There is a report on the state of the preparations for the introduction of a professional school direct study (program) for stone restorers from 1987 forward in Potsdam. An inspection was made of the state of restoration work on the St. Wolfgang church in Schneeberg, which was destroyed in 1945.
