Abstract
Many curators and archivists have been concerned about the stability and behavior of Kodak S0-015 film. Kodak maintains that the film meets the current standard of suitability for archival storage. Some technical details of tests conducted by Kodak have been publicized. The author does not feel that S0-015 is satisfactory in respect to long-term stability citing discoloration and other potential problems. Alternative duplicating methods are recommended. Original nitrate negatives should not be destroyed unless badly deteriorated, but should be stored under specified conditions. -- AATA
