This is the third in a series of articles on the weighting of silk. The first two have appeared in the two previous issues of the American Dyestuff Reporter. The first chapter incorporated and historical study of the subject and the second chapter described in detail the present day methods of weighting silk. This installment considers chemical analysis and control and the one appearing in next issue will compare the relative durability of weighted and unweighted silk.
