Given at the Icomos symposium on wood conservation which took place in Troyes (France) in 1979, this report describes the techniques used to strengthen traditional wooden structures. Essentially, three methods are used: 1) dismantling and reassembling; 2) stabilizing the construction with the help of additional structures; 3) regenerating wooden parts by using synthetic resins and fiberglass. -- AATA
