Seal types are described. The materials used for their manufacture, the various ways to connect them with a document, and the various forms of damage are discussed. To connect broken parts, mixtures of wax, resins, and solvents are applied. Cleaning is done with a soft brush or by softly brushing the seal with soapwater. The techniques of connecting broken pieces and of consolidating fragile parts are described.
