This is a listing of products used on the exterior of masonry buildings. It was compiled from suggestions by preservation specialists and architects working in the National Park Service, in State Historic Preservation Offices, and in the private sector. Manufacturers were sent questionnaires, and the responses were used to complete the product descriptions used in this listing. The headings include manufacturer, product type, other names, composition, description, subject materials, method of application, precautions, possible adverse effects, tests/reports, preservation concerns, and project examples.
