The article describes a rare find of perishable artifacts, including a rabbit skin rope, basketry, and a buckskin pouch. The find was made by collectors in a northwestern Nevada rockshelter in the late 1970s. The buckskin pouch and rabbit fur rope were attached and sitting on the basketry fragment when found. All artifacts could have originated with the ethnographically known people of the region, although a more ancient date is also possible.
