Described is a system of filing photographic negatives and slides; it is designed for easy access and retrieval of images by subject, owner's name, etc. A microcomputer system, which may cost as low as $500 depending on the particular hardware and software used, was chosen over an index card system, because it is easier to establish and maintain. The filing system could easily be adapted to serve a conservation treatment record archives.
