The EPA is proposing guidelines for mutagenicity risk assessment. Subjects included in this proposal are as follows: concepts relating to heritable genetic risk; testing systems; weight-of-evidence approach; quantitative assessment of results; mutagenic activity; chemical interaction in the mammalian gonad; dose-response; exposure assessment; and risk characterization.
