Abstract
Part V of this series pointed out that the two weaving traditions of Egypt and the Near East are based on wool and linen weaving, respectively. The identifying features of the linen weavers tradition are given, and its history traced from the Negeb in the 5th century down to the 16th century. A tabulation of fiber, spin of warp, threading of the loom, etc. is given.
